Relays
Description: Electromechanical devices that act as electrically controlled switches, allowing the opening or closing of circuits with low voltage signals.
Common types:
SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw): Single pole with one normally open (NO) and one normally closed (NC) connection.
DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw): Two poles, each with a NO and NC connection.
Coil Operating Voltage: 5V, 12V, 24V DC (depending on model).
Contact Rating: Up to 10A at 250V AC or 30V DC.
Pin Configuration:
Common (COM): Central connection point.
Normally Open (NO): Connection that closes when the relay is activated.
Normally Closed (NC): Connection that opens when the relay is activated.
Applications: Device automation, motor control, safety systems, switching of high voltage loads with low voltage signals.
